31 Days of Praying for the Promises of God: Asking, Believing, Receiving

DAILY PRAYERS TO SEEK GOD’S BEST IN FAITH AND ALIGNMENT WITH HIS WILL

God invites us to ask. Yet too often, we forfeit His promises not because they’re withheld—but because we never asked. “You do not have because you do not ask” (James 4:2). This 31-day prayer guide is designed to awaken faith, stir expectancy, and help you boldly ask for the promises God has made in His Word.

These aren’t selfish demands, but prayers rooted in Scripture, trusting in His timing and character. As you pray, believe that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

  • Day 1: Praying for Boldness to Ask
    • Heavenly Father, help me overcome hesitation and fear when it comes to asking You for what I need. Give me the boldness to approach You as a beloved child, believing that You hear me. Teach me to ask according to Your will and trust in Your answer. In the name of Jesus, Amen. (Matthew 7:7)
  • Day 2: Praying for the Desire to Seek God’s Best
    • Heavenly Father, place within me a deep desire to seek not just good things, but Your best. Help me resist settling for what is easy or convenient. Let my prayers reflect a longing for Your will and Your promises. In the name of Jesus, Amen. (Psalm 37:4)
