Scripture
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.” (Jude 1:24)
Devotional
Jude closes his brief letter with a doxology overflowing with confidence—not in human effort, but in the unshakable ability of God. False teachers had crept into the church, distorting truth and drawing others astray, yet Jude ends not with fear but with faith. “Now to Him who is able.” Those words anchor the believer’s hope in every generation.
God’s ability is our security. When the world shakes, when temptation presses, when our own hearts feel weak—He remains able to keep us from falling. His strength doesn’t depend on our consistency but on His faithfulness. The same power that saves us also sustains us, guarding our steps until the day we stand before Him blameless and rejoicing.
This promise doesn’t remove our responsibility to walk in obedience—it simply reminds us that our perseverance is upheld by His grace. We are not kept by our grip on God, but by His hand upon us. And that hand never falters.
To be presented “faultless before His glory with exceeding joy” is the culmination of His redemptive work. The God who began the good work will finish it. Until that day, we live in confidence—not in what we can do, but in what He is able to do in and through us.
Takeaway & Reflection
Our confidence rests not in our ability, but in God’s.
- He keeps what belongs to Him.
- His grace sustains what His mercy began.
- The same God who saves us will one day present us faultless with joy.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You that You are able to keep me from falling. When I am weak, remind me that Your strength never fails. Guard my heart, steady my steps, and help me to walk in the confidence of Your keeping power. I look forward to the day I will stand before You faultless and full of joy, all because of Your grace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
