Scripture
“When these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:28, NKJV)
Devotional
The world feels heavy with warning signs—wars, deception, lawlessness, famine, and division. It’s easy to wonder if the Antichrist is rising. Yet Scripture never commands us to search for the enemy. Instead, Jesus tells us to lift our eyes toward Him: “Your redemption is drawing near.”
Prophetic understanding has value, but hope must remain our focus. When our gaze shifts from the coming of Christ to the chaos of the world, fear takes root and faith begins to waver. God’s Word calls us not to panic, but to persevere. The signs of the times were never meant to terrify believers—they were meant to remind us that our Savior is near.
The call of Christ is not to speculation but to steadfastness. We are not observers of darkness; we are carriers of light. While the world spirals in confusion, the people of God are called to reflect peace, truth, and hope. Our task is not to predict events but to prepare our hearts—to stay faithful, watchful, and anchored in His promises.
When others look around in fear, we look up in faith. Our redemption is closer today than ever before.
Takeaway & Reflection
True prophetic readiness keeps our hearts lifted toward Christ, not obsessed with Antichrist.
- Discernment is important, but hope is essential.
- God’s Word calls us to look up, not fearfully inward.
- We are called to shine light, not chase shadows.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Guard my heart from distraction and fear. Teach me to be discerning without becoming anxious, and to live in hope instead of speculation. Fix my eyes on Jesus, and help me to shine brightly in dark times. Keep me faithful, loving, and ready for Your return.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
