Scripture
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.” (1 Peter 1:3–4)
Devotional
Peter’s words overflow with praise—and for good reason. In a world marked by loss and decay, he reminds believers that we have been born again into a living hope. This hope is not wishful thinking or temporary optimism; it is a confident assurance anchored in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Our hope is alive because our Savior is alive. Through His resurrection, death was defeated, and a new life began for every believer. We are not clinging to fading dreams or uncertain outcomes, but to a living Person—Christ Himself—who holds our future secure.
Peter describes our inheritance as incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading. Everything in this world is perishable, but what God has prepared for His children is eternal. Our inheritance cannot be lost, tarnished, or stolen—it is kept by the power of God, reserved in heaven for us.
When life feels uncertain, we can rest in this truth: our hope is not rooted in what changes, but in the One who never does. The same mercy that saved us will sustain us until the day we see our inheritance fulfilled in glory.
Takeaway & Reflection
Because Christ is risen, our hope is living, lasting, and secure.
- The resurrection turns despair into confident expectation.
- Our heavenly inheritance is untouched by time or corruption.
- Hope in Christ gives strength for today and assurance for eternity.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
